Program: Home Chore Registry
Home Care Registry

Providing Help for Neighboring Seniors
Meals on Wheels by Senior Outreach Services provides a community registry that matches seniors in need with capable care providers. A growing number of seniors in Contra Costa County are having difficulty completing necessary tasks in their homes. By helping seniors to find reasonably-priced home care assistance, we enable them to remain independent in their own homes, give them access to quality care, help them maintain their dignity, and promote safe living conditions.
Seniors in Need
This registry was created for seniors who are seeking affordable in-home support services to improve their quality of life. The program has recruited, screened, and checked the references of local caregivers that can provide a variety in-home care, including: personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and handy work. Our care providers are also available on weekends, for 24-hour and 12-hour shifts, as well as to provide respite for overburdened caregivers. A minimum of 2-3 hours is required per shift.
Home Care Workers
The registry continually adds individuals for referral who wish to assist homebound seniors. More than 160 caregivers are currently registered with us. The Home Care Registry care providers are self-employed and work as independent contractors.
