Celebrating 40 years of delivering meals to seniors in Contra Costa County!Our History
Meals On Wheels by Senior Outreach Services is an entrepreneurial nonprofitorganization with over a 40-year tradition of excellence and service in Contra Costa County. Our success and expertise qualify us to manage community-enhancing health and human service programs for seniors. We enrich the lives of more than 5,000 county residents each year.
Our Mission
We maintain health and wellness safety nets for aging residents in our community. The services we provide are structured to assist seniors to live at home in safety, in comfort, and with dignity for as long as they can.
Our Clients
Our clients are primarily older adults ages 60+ choosing to live at home as they age. Many are low-income and frail or disabled. Forty-five percent are ages 75-84. Twenty percent are age 85 and older – the fastest growing group in our community.
Our Partners
Our partners include local government, corporations, foundations, civic groups and faith-based organizations. Individual donors support our mission as well.
